Morning Song

Morning Song: 18 X 30 Bohemian Tapestry Panel. This actually is one of my favorites. All of my tapestries done in this style have the appearance of impressionism paintings, but I think that the tree on which the birds communicate looks more realistic. It adds some diagonal focus to the composition and also makes a good contrast to the background. The yellow bird dominates the scene and makes the story plain. He is the main character in this narrative and his song breaks the air on this clear spring morning. Even the robin stops to listen.
