Ozark Sunset Tapestry
Ozark Sunset Tapestry: 24 X 30 Fiber Art on Painted Canvas. As I continue to re-invent my fiber art by combining fiber with painting, I focus on elements that would compliment each other. The most common natural setting in our area is beautiful lakes and wildlife. Deer are plentiful and can be seen at almost any time of the day. However sunset is the most likely time to see them. This fawn seems to be browsing among the rocks and grass. No doubt, his family is nearby. The raw edge tapestry is mounted onto gallery wrapped canvas that has been painted black, with design elements for presentation. The deer was painted with acrylic paint. A photo was used from a wildlife magazine for inspiration. Click on image for closer view.

ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent idea mounting your fabric and fibre arts like this but I'm wondering about the horozontal lines!! However, my knowledge on these things is limited Judy - take it with a grain of salt.
