Early Sunrise Landscape

Early Sunrise Landscape: 16 X 20. This project was originally part of a workshop that I taught on how to get more depth into your landscapes by using gradient planes of color and value. This is a painter's technique that has been used in my art quits. So many of the principles of design cross over into various mediums, like fiber. Notice the exaggerated size of the flower in comparison with the size of the sun. Your mind makes the comparison and relates it to distance, even though it is a flat surface. I have beaded the flower to make it the focal point of this wall hanging and to add texture. Click on image for closer look.  You can see this on Off The Wall Fridays This can be purchased through the Polish Pottery Shoppe 125.00 plus tax. SOLD
