Genesis Dawn
Genesis Dawn: Fiber Art on Painted Canvas. This is a rework of one of my older fiber art pieces. I call it Genesis Dawn because it has a surrealistic representation of all the elements that were mentioned in the Biblical account of creation of the Earth. The sun and moon are present; the waters below are divided from the clouds above. Plants appear on the Earth and birds fly in the air. The canvas is painted black and given some horizontal lines, which, compliment the vertical lines. This creates an interesting dynamic in design. It is hard to get a true perspective of this work in a photo, but it looks quite impressive in person. Check this out on "Off The Wall Fridays." http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteYou seem to really have found your 'style' which is now instantly recognisable. This is another beautiful example.

ReplyDeleteLovely piece!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for the comment on my blog about the "keys". It seems we have something in common by using the end of an old year and the first of a new year to update/rework/finish and otherwise revisit pieces from the past. Genesis Dawn is great!
